Welcome: You have found the place for help

At LSESSI we have a unique understanding of your issues and problems. The group was founded by and is led by survivors. We have all been in your position before, and have already made all the mistakes involved in getting treatment and understanding these injuries. We have a very broad range of members from all walks of life and geographical areas. We have many members willing to help and give you the information you need to begin your recovery. We have many family members and spousal members who will talk to and guide your loved ones thru what to expect and how to handle the issues involved in recovery.

 

Every year we have a conference where survivors young and old meet. We have speakers on injury specific topics and treatments, medical and legal professionals who do presentations and studies, and survivors support groups where you can talk to other survivors and speak about your problems and other survivors issues. We also have support groups for family members and children. These are very productive and useful sessions especially for first timers and new members and their families. Many new members or first time attendees have found attending an annual meeting to be the point where they first felt accepted and understood. We have developed educational and injury specific materials for our members and their families. We know what you are going thru and want to help. We are all volunteers trying to help one another live thru and flourish after a life altering injury.
